A men's blazer is cut horizontally at the waist and elongated with a drape insert that extends below the jacket. Both the blazer and the drape have ruffle finishes. The jacket is worn on top of a shirt that extends into a dress. The look is completed by white Air Max 95s' made in collaboration with Nike, along with a Comme des Garçons X Mikimoto pearl necklace.
Since 1984, the CDGH+ line has focused extensively on undermining gender conventions. An iconic 'masculine' garment, the blazer jacket is at the center of the spring/summer 2020 collection : bell sleeves are inserted in cut-out blazer sleeves ; jackets are extended with the addition of petticoats and drapes hang from harnesses ; the jackets are rendered in decorative prints and unconventional fabrics, such as black on black embroideries.
